THOMAS PELL of the parish of Wyttresham in Kent, yoman, 1 August 1502. To be buried in the churchyard of the parish church. To the light of the Blessed Mary 12d., of St. Katherine 8d., of St. John 6d., of St. Christofer 6d. To the reparation of the said church 3s. 4d.
I leave to Margaret my doughter 10 marks. To Agnes Newynden my doughter 6s. 8d. To the reparation of the church of Smerden 6s. 8d.
I make Stephen, Laurence, Thomas and Edward my sons, executors. [Latin]
Last Will: First I will that Laurence, Thomas and Edward my sons shall have 38 acres which was purchased of Agnes Reynold and the feoffes of Burle. Also 19 acres I purchased of Agnes Deccher liying in the parish of Smerden. Also three acres of woodeland I bought of William Deccher.
After decesse of Alice my wif all my other lands and tenements in Smerden shall remayn to Lawrence Thomas and Edward my sonnes.
