MARTYNE ROBERTH prest parsone of the parishes bothe of Highe Halden in Kent and of Burghasch in Sussex, 2 September 1551. To be buried in the chauncell of the parishe churche of Highe Halden or of Burgasche in whiche parish of them bothe yet shalbe my chance to decease.
To Mr. Anthony Dewnysch my best chamblett jacket. To Mysteres Joane Dewnysh wif of foresaid Mr. Anthony my best gowne of chamblet. To Thomas Olyf preist parson of Echyngham my seconde best gowne.
To Mr. Thomas Otelegh, prest, vicar of Burghasch my thirde best gowne.
Sixe siluer spones to said Mistres Johane Dewnysh and after her decease to Elen doughter of the above Mr. Anthony Dewnysh.
By my former will dated 26 January 1550 I willed certen sommes of money which by the reason of the fall of the money and diminution of the valew of the Kings Coyne sicknes and other discomodites nowe of late happened and chaunced vnto me my goodes are not sufficient to discharge, my will now ys that myn executours shall diminyshe defalce and debate the same and dispose my goodes to the value according after their discretions.

Witness: John Glyde of Burghasch, Thomas Hall and William Alyn of High Halden.
Proved 21 October 1551 by Thomas Olyff and Anthony Devenysh. (P.C.C. 29 Bucke)
