JOHN PETTE of the Kyngs Eschequier, 10th September 1522. My soul to God, our blissed lady moder of mercy and to all my especiall advourers Saint John the Baptist, Saint John the Evangelist and holy Saint Kateryn and to all the holy company of hevyn.
To be buried in the parish church of Saint Botulphe without Aldrichegate of London before Saint Kateryn and Saint Margaret awter. To fraternitie of the blissed Trinitie, Saints Fabian and Sebastian and Saint Botulphe in the same church founded 100s.
Wife Joyce (?dead). Doughters Mary, Vrsula and Julian.
In default £100 as follows that is to sey to the parish church of Halden in Kent where I was borne to make a newe chapell wt all vpon the north side of the same church £30 and to making hier [higher] of the myddell Ile in the parishe of Saint Botulph £40. My wife Bryght.
Last will: Lands in London and in counties Buks, Hertford and Middlesex to Brigett my wife for life and to my son Francis Pette. Indefault to John Wilkok and my brother Thomas Pette my landes in Halden.
