WILLYAM WOTTON of London, Esquire, 28 September 1556 ( 3 & 4 P & M). To be buried in the parishe churche or churche yard where it shall happen me to depart oute of this world. [He died in Diocese of Canterbury according to the Act Book]. To the poore in Bocton Malherb 40s. To John Eton my seruante £10. I will that Berwyn my eruante shalbe free from his prentishippe. To Willyam Playfor one annuitie of 40s. going oute of my landes and tenements in Hadlowe and Brenchley in Kent for seaven yeres after my decease [with power of entry in default].
To Marie Wotton my wief all my landes, tenements &e during her lief and then to my brother Thomas Wotton Esquier to him and his heires. To the saied Marie Wotton my wief all my goodes and cattalls and landes for and in consideracon of her joynture whiche I am boudne to make of £30 by yere and the said Marie to be my sole executrix and my said brother Wotton to be supervisor.
