JOHN ROWE of the parish of Boxley, 6 May 1476. Corpus meum ad sepeliendum in capella beate Marie Virtinis in ecclesia parochiale de Boxley predicte in introitu ecclesie pente (sic) soram ymagine beate Marie Virgini gloriose. In qua quidem capella volo et ordino quod tres presbiteri idonei per vnum annum integrum pro anima mea celebratum.
To the high altar 6s. 8d. To the light before the high crosse 3s. 4d. To the lights (luminibus) of the Blesed Mary 3s. 4d. To the light of blessed Christofer 3s. 4d., of blessed James 20d. Residue to Katherine my wife and to be executor with John Pollehill.
Last will: of lands in Boxle, Bredeherst, Alyngton, Lye, Chiddingstone and in Grean, in which Robert Rowe my son, John Pollehill and John Burbage are enfeoffed.
First, Katherine my wife shallhave al my lands and tenements called Stone and Hampsted and Grean and Charcote in Lye and Chiddyngston and after he death I will that Gregory my son have them and my tenements called Stone, Hempstede and Grean.
To Reginald my son my tenement called Chawcote in parish of Lye and Chiddingstone.
Particularly to Katherine my wife my tenement called Crachehegge, lands bought of Henry Aisshley, a piece of land called Smartmannescrofte, a tenement at Byrche bought of Johan Bowsell, a tenement called Lottes bought of Richard Laue and lands bought of Richard Dore lying in the parish of Boxle upon the hill [supermontem] at Angeliscrowche.
