THOMAS FOGGES Esquyer, 4 August 1512. To be buried before the Image of Ihc in the church of Esshetisford [Ashford]. To the light of our Lady of Pitty 6s. 8d. Light of Saint Anne and Saint Marget in the saide church to euery of them 6s. 8d. To our Lady light in Ihc chauncell 3s. 4. To the light of the Lampp afore the sacrement in the middis of the quere 3s. 4d.
To John Barnes my chamlet gowne. To Sir William Scott Knyght my goshauk. Rest to Alionore my wif and she, Sir William Scott and Richarde Wodewarde to be executors and my Lorde Archbisshopp of Canterbury ouerseer, the which Archbisshopp I geve for his labor 40s.
Last Will: Alionor my wyf to have the profytts of my maners callid Walmere, Mongeham and Tunforde and to remayne to my next heires.
To Dame Alice my mother my messuage in Esshetisforde with the garden where I dwell terme of her lyff, so that she suffer Alionore my wyff to have the vse of all the chambres in the new loging.
All my lands and tenements holden by copy at will of the lorde after the custume of the manor of Assheford to her and to heires according to the custom of the said manor, except my tenements of Bernghehill and the tenement in Assheford in the which John Dewer now dwellith and I will that Alionore my wyff have the said messuage where John Dewere dwellith vnto Roger Bassard my sonne be of full age of 21 yeres.
