JOHN SALMON of the parishe of Holyngborn 9 August 1509. To be buried wt in the church of Frensbury bifore our lady chauncell. To our lady light 12d., light of Seynt Kateryn 6d., Roode light 12d., light of Ahalows 12d., Seynt John Baptist light 4d., Seynt Cristofer 4d., Seynt Antony 6d [all at Frindsbury]. To my broder William Salmons children 12d.
To church of Holyngborn where it is moost nedefull to be doon 20d. To Thomas Austen my seruaunt a Kow. To John Baker my seruaunt a Kow. To John Clerk son of Symon Clerk 3 qrs of barley. To my brother William Salmon a bay horse or 6s. 8d.
Residue vnto Mercy my wif and she and Sr. Richard Bawdryb Vicar of Frensbury, Henry Charles of Halsto and Thomas Darlond of Frensbury executors. Witnesses John Henham, Thomas Hochyn, Richard Spreuer of Cobham.
Last will: of all my londs &e. in parish of Frensbury or ells where in Kent in the which John Baker, Thomas Hochyn and John Gold ar enfeffd. Mercy my wif shall sell all my londs lying at Barowhill in parish of Frensbury and Hoo, except two croftes called ijj cornar croft and one acre croft lying under clays at the iiij helwyn [?helmys]. Mercy my wiff all my londs in parish of Frensbury at Wensko and 2 crofts at the iiij elmys. Marcy my wif to pay Vrsula my dorter is she lyve to be maried £6. 13. 4.
My house at Stroode to be sold. My executors to sell a pece of lond lying at Chetyngton in parish of Frensbury for a presst to syng in Frensbury Church for my soul and soule of Sr. Richard Smyth.
