PETER HUSE, Archdeacon of Northampton, sick in body &e. To be buried in the midst of the choir of the Holy Trinity of Motynden where a tomb to be erected for me by my executors, which are these, Master Robert Fabiane, clothier and alderman of the City of London and Thomas Brigge my attendant (famulus). I wish also that the Venerable Master Thomas Davy steward of the House of St. John of Jerusalem next Smythfelde be supervisor.
To the Cathedral Church of Lincoln 200 marcs. To the Abbot of the Monastery of the Blessed Mary of Boxley in Kent 20s., the sub prior 40s. To each brother of the House of the Holy Trinity of Motynden 26s. 8d. To poor of St. Michaels Cornhill £4 and of Willughby in Mershe, Lincoln diocese 10 marcs, of Frekynham in Suffolk 5 marcs, of Belgrave in diocese of Lincoln next Leicester 5 marcs, Charterhouse of Shene 5 marcs, Nuns of Dartforth 40s., Friars of Grenewiche 20s. For buildings (pro edificius) of the church of the Holy Trinity of Motynden £100. To each brother of Houndeslowe of the order of the Holy Trinity 3s. 4d. I will that all and singular my attendants (famuli) to the number of eight enjoy their stipends for a whole year after my decease. To John Huse ‘natu majori’ I leave £3. 6. 8. for his stipend and £10 beyond. To William Lilley 66s. 8d. and to each other to the number of six for his stipend 40s.
William Huse my nephew sometime son of Thomas Huse may buy if he wishe so much of my goods as will extend to the sum of 40 or 50 marcs. [Latin]
