WILLIAM BROKE, Doctour of the Lawe cannon, Vicar of Preston besids Feuersham, parson of Haryettisham and of Itam in Kent, 7th September 1525. To be buried in the monastrie of Feuersham before the Image of the Assumpcion of our Lady in the chapell there and at my buryign foure Trentalls oon in the monastery of Feuersham, the secunde at Leeds in the abbey there, the iij de at Muddynden the iiijth to be doon at Haryettis ham.
To Maister Richard Mug, doctour of lawe in Alsowlne Colleg [Oxford] a standinge pece wt an egle and a knop parcell gilt. The yerely profits of all my purchased londes in the parishe of Hariettisham to be receyued by myn executours oon half to be bestowed amonys my pour parishens and clark after fourme and maner as those londs and howse that I late gave to them condicionally. The other half of the said profits terme of 20 yeres, and more yf I have ben more there, to the por parishens and clark of Ham.
The reuersion to Robert Broke. I will myn exectours have my house and londe in the parish of Willesdon terme of my yeres and of the profits. Frere John of the Augustyn Freres in Oxford to have 6s. 8d. All londes and tenements in the parish of Sevenoke orellswhere in Kent that my father willed me to Robert Broke aforesaid. All my plate, money and dettours be receyued by the Abbot of Feuersham. All my moveable stuffe to Johan Dan that remayneth in hir keping suster to Robert Broke that is in my house att Sevynoke. All my other moveable goodes that remayneth at Haryettisham, Itam and Preston to the said Robert Broke, except oon bed complete the which I will to Margaret suster to the same Robert. To Margaret six siluer sponys and oon litill maser with a couer.
Executours: John, Abbot of Feuersham and my nevie Robert Broke.
Last will: To my nevie Robert Broke all my londes &e. in parishes of Curlington and Blachynton in Oxfordshire in fee. All my londes &e. in Weedyn Weston Wapnam Bogeatt Maydyn Morton Crendon and Kyngesbury in Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Middlesex the profits to be received by my feoffes to oon of the felowes of Alsowln Colege beyinge a prest and cursory 4s. euery moneth yerely after the maner and for me as it is doon for my Lord James Goldwell, and all residue to the vse of the said College. [Feoffees to be made up by the said College as they fall to four in number].
Proved 9 February 1525 by Robert Broke personally and "Domp. Joannis Abbatis de Feuersham"in person of Master John Heryng notary public. (P.C.C. 2 Porch)
