RICHARD ADAMES of Flecching in Sussex, 16th February 1523. To be buried wt in the chauncell of the church of Flecching. A prest to synge for my soul as my wife and John Levett of Cheffelde thinke necessary. To Eve Adames my daughter when of lawfull age or mariage £40. Residue to Isabell my wife and executrix. John Levett of Sheffelde supervisor.
Also I will my manor of Harietisham in Kent with almaner of tenemetns, rents &e. and my londes in Penisye in Sussex and all other lands &e. in Sussex to John Levett of Shefeld and Isabell my wife. Also all the profits &e. of the manor of Leuerton, londs or tenements of Hornes londs in Kent, they to order and se preferment of all my childern male. And where I owe Elizabeth Delph my neace four score pounds I will the said John Levett and Isabell my wife paye the same. Witnesses: Sir Robert Hurst, vicar of Flecching, William Levett parson of Estlyng, Edmunde Pope gentilman of Litill Hurstede and Thomas Tyndall of Flecching.
