1 September 1558. Robert Linche, last will of disposicion of all my lands, tenements, woods &e. in the paroche of Cranbroke in Kent or ells where. To Johan my wife all my lands, tenements &e. lyinge and being Glassenbury and Plisshingherst withing the paroche of Cranbroke for her life and after vnto Symon Lynche my brother his heyres &e. for euer, upon condition he pay vnto my executrix or her assigns £100.
To Jermome Courtope and Thomas Courtrope my brothers all my lands &e. in the deane of Trenly and in the dene of Swettenden in the paroche of Cranbroke.
Wytnes: Mrs. Johan Walsche, Robt. Walsche, Peter Heman, John Bastyon, John Brode and other, but if my wife be with child then the lands given to my brother Symon Lynche and to Jermome and Thomas Courtoppe to be of none effect.
The 2nd day of September 1558 Robert Linche of Erchingham in Sussex made his testament touching his goods moueable and vnmoueable vnto Johane his wife whome he named his sole executrix and Maistres Johan Walshe widowe, ouerseer.
Witnesses: Johane Walshe, Thos. Courtoppe, Jerome Courtoppe and John Brode.
Prove 17 December 1558 by Johan relict. (P.C.C. 17 Welles)
