VIII). I William Lynche of Cranbroke, clothemaker. To be buryed in the
right syde of the quere wt in the parishe churche of Cranbroke yf it may
be sufferyd. To the high aulter 20s. For two Tapers of wexe to be sett
and lighted before the blessid Sacrament one of them every daye at high
masse tyme till the auguns be donne for the terme of one whole yere 13s.

To my godsone William Courtoppe sone of Peter Courtoppe one angell
noble. To Kateryn Courtoppe my goddoughter my standing maser which was
my first wyffs. To eueryche of the childern of Peter Courtoppe besides
these two aforesayd 3s. 4d. To my godsone William Grey sone of my
doughter Dorothe one angell noble. To my seyd doughter Dorothe 3 yards
of puke or blackeclothe price the yerde 6s. 8d. and 20s. in mony. To
William Lynche my godsone sonne of Symond Lynche my pouncyd goblett wt
the cover and to euery of the childern of my sonne Symond bysides one
angell.
To the Salery of a discrete preest to sing and praye for my soule, my
father, my mother and wyffs soules in the chapell of our Lady in
cranebroke £7, wt condicion that he do sey in thende of his masse euery
tyme the gospell missus of Angelus Gabriell wt the collett graciam fuam
and euery Fryday in the same yere O bone Jesu, with the collett.
To Nicholas my sone in lawe 4 yerds of puke or blacke price the yerde
6s. 8d. To Elizabeth my wyff all suche plate and household stuf as she
brought to me. As her said plate and stuf may be then to the value of
£30 according to my bounde by Indenture made betwixt Wm. Baker her
brother and me. Also to her one pece of gold callyd a Portygue, one pece
of of gold callyd a Sofferayne, one pece of gold of two doble ducketts
and my ringe of gold which was my lady Nortons and also my wrethid ring
of golde.
To Gearves Lynche my sone 6 syluer spones the Knoppis gilte like
strabery heddes. Also when he shall procede and to made Mr. of Arte
towards his chargs £13. 6. 8.
To Thomas Lynche my sone one of my syluer potts and 6 syluer spones
Knoppid like strabery hedds.
To William Lynche my sone my syluer pece pouneyd which was my fathers
and 6 syluer spones slypped.
To Robert Lynche my sone at his age of 25 my standing goblet gilt wt a
cover and the other 6 syluer spones slypped. To Kateryn, Anne, Margaret,
Rose and Clemens my doughters to euery of them to their mariage or at
age of 28 yeres fyfty marks. To euery of my apprentice for my men and
maydens seruantes wt in my house 3s. 4d. To the amending of the highe
weyes from my dwelling place vnto my tenement sumtyme Possise thre
pounds.
To Peter Courtoppe £6. 13. 4. in full contentacion of £40 for the
mariage of my doughter his wyfe.
To Thomas Chittenden my fermor of Hawkerse 3 yards of clothe price the
yarde 4s. To his wyfe 3s. 4d. and to my goddoughter his doughter Annes
5s., and to euery of his childern besides 12d. To John Wynter my best
cote and to euery of his childern vnmaryed 12d. To Stephen Pend my olde
graye gelding and all suche dett as he owys to me of terme then being
behynde.
Vnto Symond Lynche my sone all those woodes callyd Foxrege which I
lately bought of Master Thomas Wilford, he to pay Elizabeth my wyfe
fowrescore pounds and if h do not then the said woods to be sold by
Master John Baker her brother and by Mr. Wlter Hendly.
Residue to Symonde Lynche my sonne whom I make my trusty and faithfull
executour nd Master Doctor Huysse, Vicar of Cranbroke, to be solicitor
and adivsor to hym and Master John Baker and Mr. Water Hendly my trusty
ouerseers.
Also all proffytt of the lands that shall fortune vnto Robert Lynche my
sone shalbe receyved by Elizabeth my wyfe his mother vntill he come to
25 yeres and if she die I will that Alexaunder Courtopp* his brother do
receyve all such proffetts vntil the sayd Robert Lynche come to age of
25 yeres.

Master Doctor Huysse, Vicar of Crambroke.
