19 June 1514, Thomas Cussheman in the parishe of Crambroke. To be buried within the churchyard of the parishe churche of Seynt Dunston in Crambroke.
To the reparacion of the seid Church 20s. To the light before the image of oure blissed Lady in the chauncell 12d. To the light before the image of Seynt Clement 12d., of Seynt Antony 12d., and before the image of the holy Trinytie of Mylkhowse in the seid parishe of Crambroke 20d. I bequeth to the makyng of the Cross at the four okes in the seid parisshe 20s. To amending of the highe strete betwene Posses Crosse and Dakers Crosse [sic ?Bakers] where most nede is 6s. 8d. To the amending of high wayes on the highe strete betwene Crambroke and Maidstone 13s. 4d. At my burying 20s. and at my monethes daye 40s. and at my yeres mynde 10s.
To Dorathe my suster my violett gowne and my tawny gowne oulyned and a newe russett gowne of my wyffs purfeled and 13s. 4d. and to her three doughters 6s. 8d. To William Posse 20s. To John Posse of wollen householde stuff to valoure of 13s. 4d. To Richard Posse 6s. 8d. To Joane Cussheman of Losse [Loose] and Elisabeth Wolwyn of Rye 6s. 8d. To Henry Holstoke one of my gownes. To Benett Coliar my suster 20s. of the 40s. Thomas Coliar hir husband oweth vnto me. To John Cusheman my brother besides his dayly wages 40s. To Robert Rymyngton besides his dayly wages 20s.
Laurence Cussheman and Robert Rymyngton my executours.
Last Will: Robert Aware, Thomas Weller and Stephyn Pachyng and Peter Adam of the Parish of Crambroke my foeffes. To Lawrance my sonne my principal mesuage, two gardens and workhouse, the Taynterofes, Laurans Feld, Niocolmede, the hyld Delfeld and two other peces of land called Vpperland, the Wodschote, the Olde Towne and the Workhouse felde, when he cometh to the age of 22 yere. Also six peces of lande called the Berecrofte, two Woodshecroft, the Mabrowne, the lytell Mede called the churche waye and the Newtowne.
To Gervase my sonne two crofts of land callid Owlehaws and two croftes of land called Omyndens when he cometh to 22.
To Alexander my sonne the Croked Crofte, Balddencrofte and the More with appurtenaunces when he cometh to 22.
If all die then Dorathe my suster to have £20. Lawrence, John, Edward and Symond Cussheman my brothers.
Lawrance my sonne shall have lefte vnto my place my counter and all my tables and formes besydes ladders and all other thyngys there that be nayle faste to my seif place and also all manner of my other implements belongyng to my workhouse.
Witness: James portrewe, Stephyn Pacchyng, Peter Adam, Henry Holstok, Petyr Chytynden, Wm. Posse, John Cussheman the elder and other moo.
Item: that the dede of feoffement restyth in thands afud keepying of Stephyn Pacchyng.
