13 September 1504. John Brekenden of Cranebroke in Kent. To be buried in churchyerde of parish church. To the Rode Light 20d. Or. Lady light 20d. My six best spones of siluer shalbe divided between my six children. To my two doughters that be unmaried 40 marcs. To Dorathee my wif an horse and £5 in
money. Residue to Richard Brekenden my brother my executor be to dispose it in deedes of charite as he shal thynke best. Rents &e until my said three sonnes [un- named] come to age of 24.
