MARGARET BEWLEY, widowe, of the town of Maidstone. 10 December 1526. To be buried in church of Alhalowes in Maidston in the myddell aley beside my husband. [This proves that he was buried as directed in his will]. To the high altar 20d., to light of Saint Kateryn 4d., of Saint Nicholas 4d., to the light before Saint Martyn 4d.
To euery oon of my doughter that be maried 6s. 8d.
To Dorathe Bewley my doughter a fetherbed &e.
To Margaret my doughter a fetherbedde &e.
To Dorathe my doughter a panne of brasse, a brasse pott, a ketill of brasse &e.
To John Bewley thelder my sonne a great brasse potte.
To John Bewley the yonger and Thomas my sonnes to euery of them 26s. 8d.
Residue to discrecon of my executor whom I make John Bewley thelder my sonne.
Witness: John Bowys my goostly father and Thomas Metcalf.
On 9th February 1526 administration of goods of Margaret Bewley deceased ‘per viam intestati’ granted to Richard Bere, he being sworn &e. (P.C.C. 16 Porch)
