THOMAS DAVY of the Towne of Maydestone [Maidstone] last day of May 1509. To be buried in the churche yarde of Alhalowen in Maydestone. To 12 pouer men 12d. To my two sonnys 14 spongs of silver, a salte of silver and eche a maser, 3 gurdells of silver harneysed 2 pieces of beds of corall one peir of beds of white amby To the parisshe clerk 2d. To Ihus masse 12d. To Freres of Aylesforde 2 busshel of malte.
To my wyfs three doughters £20, to eche 10 marks, at age of 20 or mariage. If the obligacon that I was bounde in to Robert Reynolde and to Thomas Blanket to my wyfs behove may be founde than broken and cancelled that I will my wyfs three doughters have the £20 I gave them orells they shall not have the £20. To Water my seruaunt all my werkinge toole a doblet of worsted and a jaket of Fustyan.
My brother Robert Brekynden and his wyfe to be executors.
Last will: My feoffees shall make a sufficient astate unto Maister Robert Brekynden of and in my tenement in Tentyrden, the said Robert to paye my children £23. 6. 8. My pece of londe that lieth at Buklonde of the maister and his brethern of the College will paye 5 mark they have it if they will and if not it and my cotags in Stonystrete in Maydestone to remayne to my 2 sonnys and if they decease to my 3 doughters. [N.B. the children are not named].
