JOHN CAMBERTON, clerk, Master of the College of All Saints of Maidestone [Maidstone], 26 May 1505. To be buried in the choir or chauncell of the Collegiate church. To the reparation of the said church 10s. To the reparation of the great bridge of Maidestone 6s. 8d. To the amending or reparation of the bad ways without Toweld and Stonstrete 5s. To each light within the church of All Saints 4d. To reparation of the church of St. Faith 6s. 8d. I leave to Pembroke Hall in Cambridge to the common use of the college 40s. I leave for an honest priest to celebrate for my soul and the souls of all faithful departed and of my parents Hugh and Elene and of the Lord Cardinal and Master Thomas Maddes and all my friends and benefactors, at the altar of Ihu in the College of Maidestone £6. 13. 4. for one whole year.
To Hugh Huggart £7, Richard Blakborn 40s., Thomas Couper 13s. 4d., Nicholas Gybson my boy 13s. 4d., William Cole 6s. 8d. Each servant of the College before my months day 4d. To the common use of profit of the College £20. To Margaret Broide 20s., John Wode 6s. 8d., Robert Claigate 6s. 8d., John Wels 6s. 8d., Agnes Wels 6s. 8d., John Hoghsone 6s. 8d.
The £6 which John Fisher of Ansforth [?Eynsford] shall give me for lands late sold to him, bought from Thomas Get, of which £3 are to be paid in the first three years, I give to Hugh Huggard of the rest viz £3 in the second three years I give to Thomas Goter on this condition that he shall not disturb nor molest John Fisher in the said land which lately he bought from me.
Executors: John Lyndeley, Dom. Thomas Nycol and John Trower. Teste manu mea.
