ROGER GROVE, citezein, netmaker and joynor of London, 3 September 1496 (12 Harry the VIII). To be buried in the parish church of Saint Jamys in Garlikhith in the place there by the parson, churchewardeyns and parisshens now in my life to me graunted for the which to be paid to the said chirch werks there 33s. 4d. Torches to church and to church of Mortelake, Barnys and Cheswyk. 
To William Grove my brother 20s..To Johane my sustre 20s. To Henry Wyncote 20s. To Elyn Hille 13s. 4d. To euerich of my four sonnes, John Grove, Thomas Grove, William Grove and Richard Grove and Agnes my doughter 10 marc. To Richard Hawes somtyme my seruaunt 13s.
To Margaret wife of the said Richard 6s. 8d. To euerich of my apprentice 6s. 8d. To John Axe of London, dyer, to be one of my executors. Residue to Margaret my wife.
My lands and tenements in parishes of Mortlake in Surrey and an acre of lande in parish of Maydestone [Maidstone] beside Bourestrete in Kent to Margaret my wif during her lyfe and after that in Mortlake to be solde at the derrast price that they canne and money to my four sonnes and Agnes my doughter and to John Grove my sonne my said acre lying beside Bourestrete in parish of Maydestone.
