GEORGE HOUTON of London, gentleman, 20th November 1473, (13 Edward IV). To be buried in the chancel of the parish church of St. Olave in Silverstrete, London. I leave to the sustentation of the Fraternity of St. Giles outside Crepulgate for my admission and Margery my wife into the confraternity 10s.
I leave to Sibill my daughter my flat ciphum   To William my son my planum ciphum.
My executors to pay after my death to Anne Thorp ‘senglewoman’ every year during the minority of William Thorp her kinsman in my custody by the King’s gift, from outgoings of the manor of Boscombe in Wiltshire £4.
To Alianore Pemberton my servant to her marriage 26s. 8d.
I wish my feoffees in my tenement called Le Hale, with lands, woods &e near Maydeston [Maidstone] in Kent to permit Margery my wife to occupy and take profits &e until William my son be 26 years old, then to him.
Residue to Margery my wife and she and Richard Houton my brother, merchant in the City of Worcester to be executors and William Pastor Esquire supervisor. (Latin)
