Henry Judde of London gentilman being sicke, etc. To
be interred in the parishe churche of Sainte Martin. To the poore folks boxe
in the same churche 12d.
To my brother William my cloke and cote whiche he and I bought
together of Mynors. I forgive unto my sistre Bykner all mony she owithe me and
to my saide sister a ringe of golde of 40s. Unto John Judde my best
satten doblet. My cossen Edwarde Garthe my cote of velvet. Robert Bundocke
sixe kyen and sixtene lambes. Roger Norman my clarke my nyght gowne.
Residewe unto Mabell Judde my welbeloved wife whome I ordene
extrix. and overseers for my saide wifes relyefe and comforte my uncle Ser
Andrewe Judde Knyght, Edward Garthe and Wm Judde my brother.
This is: of all my landes I geve unto Mable my wife all my londes
in Toonbridge (Tonbridge) in Kent called Barden and hous landes uxta
Toonbridge withe my manor called Hooberye in the same cowntye for terme of her
lyfe. And where for that it hathe pleased allmightie God of his mercyfull
goodnes to call my saide wief to be at this present withe childe I will if it
please God to brynge the same her childe into lyfe and that it be a man childe
after her decease the same childe by what name so ever it shalbe cauled shall
not ony have all the same my landes in Toonbridge together withe my manor
called Hoobery but he at his full age of twentye yeres have all my londes
callyd Houslandes parcell of the londes called Barden uxta Toonbridge. If a
maide child then unto her after discease of the saide Mable my wyfe all my
manor of Hoobery. If the childe decease then to William Judde my brother my
manor of Howbery but if he trouble or unquyet my saide wife of and in the
possession of eny the landes to her assigned for her lyfe then the manor of
Hoobery unto John Judde my cossen.
Dated 4 Jan. 1554.
Wytnesses Edwarde Lane the wryter herof, Constance Byckner sister
to the same Henry, Roger Narman his servante and John Anwike.
