6 June 1501. John Farm of the parisshe of West
Mallyng in Kent. To be buried within the churchyard of thassumpcion of oure
Ladie in West Mallyng. Unto the fraternyte of oure blessed lady within the
same churche to have my sowle in remembrance 13/4. To the reparacions of the
same church 6/-. Unto the reparacion of the churche of Merden wher moste nede
is 13/4. Unto the reparacion of the churche of Hertlep 6/8. At my burynge 10s
at my monethis day 10s.
Residue unto my extours whome I make Thomas Hikmotte and
Richd Essex. Wit. Maistr Thos Nevile, Vicar of West
Mallynge Sir Thos Smyth preste, John Hunt, Richd Kenette
and other.
This is: I will my tenement and landis in the parisshe of Merden
be solde and the money comyng I will X marke to fynd a preste syngyng by the
space of oon yere viz. an halfeyere in Mallyng, and half a yere in Merden for
my sowle, for my fadre and modre and all Xten sowles and the residue to the
contenacon of my testament and laste wil.
I will my tenement and landis in parisshe of Hertlepe to be solde
and xxs to Johanne my suster and a preste syngyng a quarter of a yere in the
churche of Hertlepe 33/4.
I will my feoffis delyver astate of all my tenements and lands as
such tyme as they may be requyred by my executours accordyng to my will as
right yt consciens apreth.
Probate 14 July 1501 by exors.
