19 Feb 1542 (34th HVIII). Robert Nisham citezen and baker of London, stronge and stedfast in the Catholique faithe of the holy churche. To be buried within the parishe chuche of Saint Andrewes under the shafte in the southe Ile by the pewe where I satt. To high awter for tithes etc. 3/4. A Trentall of masses on the morowe after my buryng 10s. I will and desire that the Wardeyns and hole lynerey of my Conpany of Bakers shalbe at my briall and masse on the morowe and they to have 26/8 to be spent amongs theym in fourme folowing that is to sey after my dirige be doon 6/8 to be spent by their discrecons and on the morowe 20s to be spent at the Bakers hall at a dyner or repast for the Sid company in the remembraunce of my soule and all Xten soules.
   I will Agnes my wife shall yerely paye to Joane Shereman my Kynneswoman 20/- duryng lyfe and if she dye then to Robert Feryman my Kynnesman 20/-. Also to Elen Patrik my kynneswoman 20/-. Ric. Maunsell, Cit and scryvenor of London overseer
   Agnes my wife sole exx. To said Agnes all my londes and tenements of freeholde and fee symple as well within the Citie of London as without and all my leasses duryng her lyfe. To said Agnes the revercion of all the londes and tenements I bought of Wm Culpeper and Mary his wife doughter and heire of Wm Drapers gentilman in Lymestrete end in parishe of Saint Andrewe and my wyfe to fynde an obite in churche of Saint Andrewe and bestowe yerely 43/8, i.e. to priests clerk and poure people in the said parishe 20/- yerely to the Maister of the Felisshipp of the Bakers of London 12d desiring him yerely to be at the same obite and the foure wardens yf they may conveniently com every of theym 8d and I will that the hole lyverey of the said Company or as many of theym as conv. can to be at the dirige and masse on the morow and after dirige I geve 4/- to be spent amongs the said Company and after masse 16/- to be spent at the BakerTo Agnes ms Hall amongs and upon the said Company of Bakers for a dynner or Repast to pray for my soule my wife soule our frends and all christen soules.
   After deceas of my wife all houses and tenements sumtyme Wm Drapers shall remayn to Robert Feryman my kynnesman and heires under condition he and his heires keep the said obite and bestowe 43/8 as above and in defaulte said houses etc. to Maister and wardeyns of the Bakers of London to kepe yerely the said obite.
   To Agnes my wife and hir heires the house or tenement that John Martyn surgion now dwellith in in said parishe of Saint Andrewe next the house where I nowe dwell.
   After deceas of my said wife to John Nisham my kynnesman twoo tenements and certeyn londes in the parishe of Chelisfelde in Kent and heires of his body and for lacke to remayn to said Robert Feryman and said John Nisham or heires to kepe an obite yerely at the parishe churche of Chellisfelde for ever on the day that I shall dye and to bestowe at the said obite of the Issues of the twoo tenements and londes 6/8 for my soule, Agnes my wife soule and all Xten soules.
   These being witnesse Sir Leonard Barnyston, Sir Robert Barehede clerkes John Claver Richd Maunsell, John Barnard and other.
