45. Emma daughter of Captain COBBE of the Bengal Army and granddaughter of Lieutenant Colonel Cobbe Royal Artillery. This lovely interesting and intelligent child was taken from her disconsolate parents by a sudden attack of the croup on 3 July 1835 aged 23 months.

58. Captain David BUCHAN, Royal Navy who was supposed to have perished at sea on his voyage from the East Indies to England on board of the ship ‘Upton Castle’ in the month of December 1838 aged 60. Mary Pattison, wife of above Captain David Buchan and youngest sister of the late General ADYE, RA. died 6 April 1839 in 60th year. John Adye son of David Adye and Ellen Buchan and grandson of the above Captain David and Mary Pattison Buchan died 26 March 1839 aged one year and nine months.

East end has a sculpture of a woman and seven children: Also in memory of Mrs. Ann Elcock late wife of the aforesaid Mr. James Elcock died 13 March 1790 aged 26. Also three of their children who died in infancy. Likewise four children of the aforesaid Mr. James Elcock and Sarah his wife who also died in infancy. South side: Samuel Elcock son of aforesaid died 10 January 1831 aged 23. Mrs. Sarah CHISWELL wife of Mr. Thomas Chiswell of this parish and relict of aforesaid Mr. James Elcock senior died 23 July 1839 aged 69. Anne wife of Henry Thomas Elcock son of above named Samuel Elcock died 23 April 1855 aged 24. 109. Mr. Moses EMBLEN, Builder, late of the parish of Christ Church, Surrey, died 31 July 1821 in 51st year. An affectionate husband. Jane wife of Mr. John CUSHIER of this parish died 3 October 1836 aged 60. An affectionate mother. Mrs. Harriet Emblen wife of above died 7 February 1853 in her 80th year. Mr. John Cushier husband of above Mrs. Jane Cushier died on his 82nd birthday 1 January  1854. On reverse: Mr. Moses Emblen, Builder, late of the parish of Christ Church, Surrey died 31 July 1821 in 51st year.

110. Mr. John MORTIS of this parish died 25 December 1823 in 48th year. Mrs. Elizabeth Mortis his wife died 4 May 1833 in 58th  (not 38) year. Mr. Henry Mortis son of above died 8 August 1830 in 22nd (17-11-2002 Elizabeth Booker from Canada, states that John Mortis and Elizabeth Smith were married in Deptford in 1796. In his will he appointed his wife Elizabeth as executrix and his brother in law John Smith as one of the executors.  His will was written in 1818 and proved in 1824. Elizabeth was 58 when she died)

157. Sacred to the memory of The Reverend Hugh FRASER M.A. 32 years the esteemed Rector of this Parish who died on the 14th day of April 1837 aged 73 years. He was a man endowed with the simplicity of the patriarch and the virtues of a Christian. He erected the mansion near this Church as a refuge in his old age and as a residence for future Rectors of Woolwich and which he lived to enjoy 24 years. His active mind however could not rest here. He discovered that a legacy had been left twenty years before to the poor of this parish. He recovered this legacy and the poor have for sixteen years received a distribution of three hundred loaves per week for nine weeks during the severity of winter. He survived all his children, one daughter and four sons, the eldest and last of whom died at Cheltenham at the age of 19. This he often declared was the greatest trouble he ever knew. He is gone alas, but has left an example that all must desire to follow tho’ few can hope to equal. Charles HARWOOD Esquire of Charlton, nephew of the late Miss Grace Hardin of Woolwich born 17 March 1799 died 7 November 1864. His remains are interred in the churchyard of St. Thomas, Woolwich. North side:- Samuel Hardin, Farmer and Gardner of this parish died 20 March 1803 aged 83. Ann Hardin wife of above died 21 November 1772 aged 56. East end:- Mr. William Hardin died 18 August 1804 aged 68. He was the only brother of the late Mr. Samuel Hardin of this parish. Mr. Samuel Hardin son of Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Ann Hardin and nephew of the above died 6 November 1810 aged 62. Mrs. Sarah Harwood died 13 November 1801 aged 51.
