aged 62.

Thorpe in the Registrum Roffense at page 1026 gives the following -

15 In the chancel, under the rails
before the communion table is a gravestone of black marble with this
inscription -
Fuit Johannes Lambe, obijt Aprilis 24
1740 anno aetatis suae 54.
Above are these arms viz a chevron
between three holy lambs with staves and banners.

On a small
gravestone of black marble adjoining is this -
Lionel
Lambe.
