Receipt for Deeds 1st July 1725

Received then of the Reverend Mr Lunn.

One Indenture dated 8th, 30 Henry 8 (1538) being a Grant made by the then Abbott and Convent of St Albans in Hertfordshire to Christopher Hales, Esquire.

And also one other Indenture dated 12th October, 9 Charles I (1633) made between Sir Robert Naunton, Knight, Master of the Court of Wards and Sir Benjamin Rudyard of the one part and Anthony Hammond, Esquire, of the other part.

And also one other Indenture dated 27th April 1692 being a Settlement made by Mr William Hammond on his marriage with Mrs Elizabeth Kingsford.

which writings I promise to deliver back to the said Mr Lunn on the discharge of a certain mortgage made to me on the Mannour of St Albans for the security of £800 which was the portion of Mrs Anne Hammond.
