Deed of uses of a fine 23 March 1707 (7 Anne)

Parties (inter alia) Thomas (otherwise Stephen) Middlemas of Folkestone, cordwainer and Thomas Rye of Nonington Kent, carpenter and Elizabeth his wife (and others) (1) and William Hammond of St Albans, Nonington, Esquire (and others) (2).

Covenant by (1) for barring all dowers, etc. to levy a fine sur conuzance de droit come ceo, etc. and acknowledge unto said William Hammond and others before Justices etc. including Barne and one piece of arrable land containing by estimation three acres and one rodd lying and being in Esall Street near St Albans aforesaid in Nonington, Kent, in the occupation of said Thomas (alias Stephen) Middlemas and lately purchased by the said William Hammond of the said Thomas (alias Stephen) Middlemas and Thomas Rye.
