Marriage Settlement on second wife 3 November 1704 (3 Anne)

 Parties – William Hammond of St Albans Nonington Esquire (1), Thomas Turner senior of Ileden, parish of Kingston, Kent, Esquire and Mary Turner his eldest daughter (2) fferdinando Penkehirst of Bucksted Place, Sussex, Thomas Turner junior of Lincoln’s Inn, gentleman and Zachariah Kingsford of Canterbury, gentleman (Trustees) (3).

Reciting Archbishop’s Lease to William Hammond of the parsonage and rectory of Nonington and Wymingswould

And reciting title of William Hammond to a messuage or tenement in Nonington in Church Street containing half an acre called The White Horse in the occupation of Lawrence Austen.

And a messuage or tenement and smith’s forge containing half an acre in Nonington in or near Church Street in the occupation of Christopher Spaine expectant on the death of Anthony Hammond, only son of said William Hammond without issue male but charged in case of death of Anthony Hammond without issue male with portions of the daughter of William Hammond by Elizabeth his late wife.

And the Mannor or Lordship of Eastwell alias Easole alias St Albans in Nonington, Goodnestone and Wymingswold. 

And the messuage etc. called Chillenden Court Lodge and the lands etc. containing 120 acres.

And the piece of wood ground called Pinners Wood containing ten acres in Nonnington in the Mannor of St Albans in occupation of said William Hammond.

18 acres of marshland in Ash

Marriage arranged between William Hammond and Mary Turner £1000 paid by Thomas Turner senior to William Hammond who granted to the Trustees the above premises.

Upon the trusts of the Settlement
