Chelsfield Wills - Part 1  Abstracts of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
William Young of Chelsfield dated 26 January 1845

Abstract of the will of William Young of Pratts Bottom, Chelsfield farmer dated 26 January 1845.
   I give to my daughters Sarah, wife of William Brooker of Knockholt, Mary Young, Joanna Young and Catherine Young an annuity of £5 each for life, chargeable on all my real and personal estate, to be paid to my said daughters in equal half-yearly instalments, and not to be subject to the control of any present or future husbands [further lengthy details, not taken].
   I give to my son James Young an annuity of £6 for life, to be charged and paid similarly.
   I bequeath all my real and personal estate to my sons John Young and William Young and their heirs, as joint tenants and not tenants in common.
   I appoint my said sons John and William Young my Executors.
   William Young witnesses John Churcher senr., shoemaker, Bromley Kent: James Wm. Churcher, shoemaker, Bromley, Kent.
