Edward Bassett of Chelsfield dated 14 September 1828

Abstract of the will of Edward Bassett of Chelsfield yeoman dated 14 September 1828.
   I give to my dear wife Martha Bassett my cottage and garden in Chelsfield for life.
   After her death I give the property to my nephews Thomas and William Bassett, sons of my late brother Thomas, to them and their heirs for ever, charging it with my just debts and funeral expenses.
   I give to my wife all my personal property for her sole use and benefit and I make her my Executrix.
   Edward Bassett witnesses C.B. Bradshaw John Stephens William Richardson.
Proved 15 February 1831 by Martha Bassett widow the relict.   [PCC will PROB11/1781]
