Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

Thomas GILLOW  1750  St Nicholas at Wade

The medallion measures 21¾inch x 19½inch and is cut on a blue ledger stone 76inch x 39inch in the north Chapel before the Altar.

Arms: [Gu] a lion rampant [or] on a chief [of the last] three fleurs de lis [of the first]. Crest: A demi-lion rampant

Here lieth the Body of Thomas GILLOW of this Parish, Gent who died the 11 of November 1750 Aged 74 Years. He left Surviving one Son (viz) Stephen.
