Ledger Stones in Kent churches
Saints Church, Maidstone
The medallion measures 20inch x 18inch and is cut on a brownish
ledger stone 71inch x 33½inch in the west end of the Nave, between the
north and south doors.
Arms: [Ar] three lions rampant [sa] collared [or] for FAUNCE. Crest:
a demi-lion rampant.
Under this stone lie the Remains of Elizabeth FAUNCE Daughr of Sr
Robert Faunce Knt of this Parish who died the 1st of July 17?0 in the
eighty fifth year of her Age.
