Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

 Edward MASTER  1675 St Paul's Church, Canterbury

The medallion measures 24inch x 18½inch and is cut in relief on a blue ledger stone in the Nave.

Arms: [Gules] a lion guardant [or] tail forked supporting between his paws a rose [of the field] stalked and leaved [vert].

Near this place lieth ye body of Edward MASTER Esqr, son of Sr Edward Master Knt who departed this life August the 3d 1675 aged 36 years. Here also lieth ye body of Hugh Master only sone to ye above-named Edward Master by Ann his wife. He died Febr ye 25th 1693/4. Aged 24 years.
