Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

  Zechariah KINGSFORD  1752  St Mary Church, Chartham

The medallion measures 24inch x 22inch and is cut in relief on a blue ledger stone, 71inch x 38inch in the south Transept, close to the south wall.

Arms: [Gules] two bends ermine for KINGSFORD. An escutcheon of pretence with the same arms. Crest: A lionís head erased.

Here lieth the Body of Zechariah KINGSFORD Esq. He died June ye 1st 1752 in the 49 year of his Age. Here lieth the Body of Ann Sophia Kingsford, widow of ye aforesaid Zechah Kingsford & Coheiress of Will. Kingsford Esq. of ys Parish, who departed this life April the 20th 1758, Aged 54 Years. She left Issue surviving 2 Sons Viz: William and Zechariah.
