Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

John HAYWARD  1758  St Mary (& St Clement?), Sandwich

On another, adjoining the last: In this Vault lyeth interr’d the Body of John HAYWARD Esqr. who died the 14th of January 1758 Aetat 63. He married Jane, the Daughter of John PARAMOR, Esqr. who died the 15th of April 1720. By whom he had Issue Jane, Widow of John HAWKER Esqr. (now living). He then marri’d Catherine the Daugr. of Thos. NOWELL Esqr. (who is still living) by whom he had Issue two Sons, John & Thomas who both died in their minority. Here also lieth Catherine the Wife of John Hayward Esqr. who died the 20th of September 1760 aged 67. Arms: Hayward, impaling Nowell, viz: 3 cover’d Cups.  Noted by Zechariah Cozens about 1795
