Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

Elizabeth LADE  1761  St Peter & Paul Church, Boughton-under-Blean

The medallion measures 22inch x 20¼inch and is cut in relief on a blue ledger stone 77inch x 40inch in the Chancel

Arms: Ar. a fesse wavy between three escallops, or for LADE impaling on a fesse between three mullets pierced five fusils.

In a Vault beneath this Marble is Deposited Elizabeth wife of Michael LADE Esqr of This Parish by whom She left Issue 1 Daughter and 2 Sons (viz) Elizabeth, John and Michael. She departed this Life the 5th day of November 1761 Aged 67 Years. Wm ADAMS brother to the above Elizh ob. 12th of May 1775. Aet. 72. Hester Wife of John Lade Esq of this Parish ob. 21st of July 1778. Aet. 47. Michl Lade husband of the above named Elizabeth ob. 2nd of August 1778 Aet 81. John Lade Esqr elder son of the above named Michl ob. 1st of May 1811. Aged 77.
