Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

Nicholaus CHALONER  1706?  All Saints Church, Hollingbourne

The arms measure 11½inch x 8¼inch and are cut in relief on a brown ledger stone 87inch x 39inch in the south aisle.

Arms: [Azure] a chevron [argent] between three mascles [or]. These are the arms of CHALONER of Lindfield Sussex impaling a chevron between three birds (rooks?)

His jacet spe jucundae resurrectionis Nicholaus CHALONER Armiger obit 27 Julii Anno Domini 17.. Aetatis suae 61. Filiam unicam Elizabetham Christophero Clapham Hujus loci Armigero Naptam reliquit.
