Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

Thomas MAY  1716  St Mary's Church, Hadlow

The medallion measures 22⅝inch x 18⅜inch and is cut in relief on a greyish ledger stone, 72inch x 36inch, in the Nave.

Arms: [Gu] a fesse between eight billets [or]. Crest: out of a ducal coronet [or] a leopardís head [gu] bezantie.

Thomas MAY of this Parish, Gent. was buried ye 24th of April 1714 Aged 62. Elizabeth his wife was buried ye 28th of March 1681. Aged 25.
