Toke's and others, Heraldic Ledger Stones in Kent churches

Edmund WAGG  1760  St Lawrence's Church, Hawkhurst

The medallion measures 22½inch x 20inch and is cut in relief on an altar tomb in the church yard on the east side of the church.

Arms: A chevron between three annulets. Crest: A cherub above an urn through each hand of which is passed a sword, erect, hilt in base.

In this Vault are Deposited the Remains of Edmund WAGG, Gent, late of London, Hop Merchant who departed this life the 21 Day of June 1760 in the 61 [?] year of his Age.

Note: The inscription is so worn to be almost illegible.
