Will of John WATER of Hythe, Kent 3 March 1499-1500

John WATER, 3 March 1499-1500.
Buried in churchyard of Chapel of St Leonard of Heyth.
High altar 12d. GYLAM my curate 6d. Light of St Katherine a pound of wax.
Residue to Executors- Thomas HOWGAN, John A BAROWE, Harry TAYLOUR to dispose for my soul.
Lands, tenements in Sellyng of which Thomas SANWELL and John BAROW are Feoffees.
Thomas DILNOTT of Sellyng my tenement and ten acres of land in Sellyng, to his heirs and assigns for ever, holding of the Lord of the Fee, and paying to my Executors £14.6s.8d., the money – son Richard £5.6s.8d. when 21, to my daughter Margery at her marriage four marcs (53s.4d), but if both die the £8 to a priest to sing in Sellyng church for our souls, my parents, friends.
To Harry TAYLOUR of Heth 20s. Margery my sister 10s. My son until 20 be in the keeping of Harry TAYLOUR.
Residue of money to pay my debts.
Witnesses – Dom GYLAM, my curate.
Probate 30 June 1501.
