Will of Thomas CARPENTER of Goodnestone next Wingham 14 August 1481

Thomas CARPENTER, 14 August 1481.
Buried in churchyard of Holy Cross of Godneston.
High altar 12d. Light of St Mary 16d. Holy Cross of Rollyng a bushel of barley; of St Nicholas 4d.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to my wife Isabelle, who with John FOODE, Executors.
Wife Isabelle have all my lands and tenements lately obtained from Thomas WYNTERBORN, and to her assigns for ever.
That seven rods of land be sold in the place called Sprengetestane, between lands of John BROKE north, and Robert ASH south, the money to pay my debts, and dispose for my soul.
Wife Isabelle have all my other lands and tenements for her life, then to be sold and money disposed for our souls.
Probate 1 October 1481.
