Will of Isabell BOYS of Goodnestone next Wingham 26 Sept 1517

Isabell BOYS, 26 September 1517.
Buried in the Church before Altar of St Nicholas and St Katherine.
High altar 20d.
That two tapers burn every Sunday during my year’s mind at my grave of 3 lbs each, also a lamp burning every Sunday before the Rood during my year’s mind.
At my passing out of this world – dirige with lands and commendation by note and the day of my burying half a Trental of Masses.
A priest sing in the Church upon (sic) the Altar of St Nicholas and St Margaret for one year for my soul, father and mother, my husband and those I am most bound to pray for, and have ten marcs (£6.13s.4d).
Light of Our Lady 6d; of Corpus Christi 6d; to the Brotherhood of Jesus in Nonington 2s.
William, son of John BOYS have a silver salt and a cupboard.
John, son of John BOYS, senior, a silver goblet, best feather bed with transfer. Thomas, son of aforesaid John BOYS two silver spoons. Henry BOYS (sic) two silver spoons. Edith and Ann Boys, various things.
Margaret CHILTON my violet gown.
Son John BOYS a gold ring, and to his wife my best girdle.
Executor – Son John BOYS and have residue.
To the Church a Legent.
