Will of Dom Robert LONG of Eastbridge, Kent 17 April 1529

Dom Robert LONG, parson of Estbridge, 17 April 1529.
Buried in the Mosendue (Maison Dieu) church nigh St Anne’s altar, if my uncle will give me licence. If not, in Our Lady church within the west door.
To every brother of the Masindue 12d.
My best coverlet to the Masendue to lie before the high altar, and best sarcenet tippet to make two curtains to said altar.
Two painted tables that stand on my cupboard to hang in the body of the church. The painted cloth hanging at my bed to Dom Henry WOOD to bestow to the church.
Thomas CONSTABLE my cupboard, maser, worsted jacket.
Oliver CONSTABLE my gown new dyed. My uncle Master of the Masendue 40s and for lying in his church 20s.
Dom Robert CALE my second tippet.
Dom Henry WOODE, brother BURNELL, brother NOWLE, residue of my books equally.
Residue to Executor Dom Robert YOUNG, and John ANDREW to bestow for my soul.
Witnesses – Thomas KETENTON, Hewe WILLIAMSON, John ALINSON.
My two tenements in Bygen Ward, the income therefrom Executors bestow in Our Lady Church yearly for my soul, parents, and all Christians – seven masses with Placebo and Dirige, until my uncle the Master of the Masendewe depting for them; my Executors have for keeping of Oliver CONSTABLE my kinsman for his life, then to John ANDREWS and his heirs for ever, doing yearly an Obit in Our Lady church.

Dead in October 1529.
