Abstract of Will from Ebony, Kent from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of Nicholas ROLFF of Ebony, Kent 1476

Nicholas ROLFF of Ebne, 1476.
Buried in churchyard of Ebne.
Light of St Mary 6d. Light of St Stephen 2d. Light of Holy Cross 4d. Light of St Katherine of Stone 4d.
Residue after paying debts, etc to wife Margarete my Executor to dispose for my soul.
Wife Margarete all my other lands and tenements for her life, then daughter Joan two pieces of land called Keneteke and Tymberfeld, but all other lands to son John and his heirs.
If Joan die without heirs, then her land to son John. But if both died without heirs then three pieces of land called Borchham, Netherhope and Wellecobbe to be sold and the money – half to the church of Ebne and half to church of Stone.
