Will of John GEFFE of Ebony, Kent 6 March 1545-6

John GEFFE of Ebney, 6 March 1545-6.
Buried in the churchyard.
High altar for tithes 12d.
That my Executor shall distribute for my soul, etc. at my burying 13s.4d. and at my month’s mind and years’ mind 13s.4d. and at two year’s mind 3s.4d.
John and Richard GEFFE my sons and if my wife be with child, a son, then all my lands equally among them at age of 21 years, each the other’s heir; if all die before age of 21 years then between all my daughters.
Parnell my wife have the profit of my house and lands in parish of Stone to keep my children with and to keep the house in repair until my sons come to the age of 21 years, then Parnell my wife shall have 20s. yearly out of the same for life.
John MILLER my father in law shall receive the sum of £20 from Henry GOLDING of Apuldore, shortly after my death and purchase a certain piece of land, and the profit thereof remain to Joane GEFFE and Halayne my daughters, and if my wife be with child, a girl, every of them have £5 at their day of marriage, each the other’s heir.
John MILLER my father in law shall suffer Parnell my wife to have the profits from the land that he shall buy, after that the sum of £15 shall be employed and taken up by John MILLER and not before to the keeping of my children until my sons are 21 years old, then divided equally amongst them living.
Residue of all goods not bequeathed, etc. to Parnell my wife and Executor to dispose for my soul, etc, with John MILLER my father in law supervisor.
