John EDNEX of Ebney, 19 May 1525.
Buried within the churchyard of Our Blessed Lady of Ebbeney.
High altar for tithes 4d. To the light before the Roode 4d. Light of St Thomas 8d. Light of St Kateryne 7d. To make things as is most nedefull unto the church 3s.4d. To a painted cloth unto the church unto the best behoof that they can make of it.
At my oathe bearing in all maner of costs and charges 6s. Month’s mind 5s. Year’s mind 3s.
Residue of goods to my wife for her life, then unto my children.
Agnes my wife and Leonard HOLNEST my Executors, with Sir Christopher, parish priest of Ebbeney overseer and Leonard and Sir Christopher have 1s. each for their labor and for every time for their business for my matters doing for their expenses each of them 6d.
