Richard BUNSSE of Ebney, 18 March 1553-4.
Buried in the churchyard.
To four poor folks that shall carry my body to the church 1s.4d.
My sons John the elder, Thomas, John the younger, and Edward, every of them 20s. when each of them come to the age of 21 years, each heir to the other.
Christopher GRAUNT 20s. and he with Andrew POTT overseers and they have for their pains every day they be about the premises, if they go afoot 8d. each and if they ride 10d. each
Residue of goods to Joane my wife, my Executor.
If wife do marry he that shall marry her shall be bound in a substantial bond to my overseers for the payment of my children’s money. If he refuse, the money to be handed to my overseers, they to deliver the same to my children as aforesaid.
Witnesses – Thomas PAYNE, Christopher GRAUNT, Thomas HASALL, Christopher JAMES.
