Will of Joan LIDERER of St Peter Thanet 24 December 1496

Joan LIDERER, relict of Robert LIDERER of St Peter’s in Thanet. Vigil of Nativity of the Lord (24 December) 1496.
Buried in churchyard.
High altar for tithes 8d. To each Light of which I am a Sister 4d. To buy one Image of St Andrew the Apostle for the church of alabaster 3s.4d.
A priest celebrate in the church for my soul for four weeks 10s.
On my Obit day five masses and Placebo and Dirige, and same on day of Trental.
To repair of one tabule (slab) of alabaustro for Capelle of Blessed Mary of Brodsteir 20d.
Alice CHEKE have my red hood and one tunicam called le Kertyll of russet colour.
Margerie LYDERER have my best collobin (tunic), a sheet, another tunic called le frend, color of musteretheveler and one ewe.
Edward LIDERER my best sheet.
Joan SAKETTE, wife of Robert SAKETTE another tunic de frend, color of russet, pair of sheets, a pulvinar (couch).
Katherine SAKETTE a set of amber prayer beads, and one peticote.
Alice PIERS another tunic and peticote.
Thomas LYNNE a sheet, coverlet and blanket.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to Edward LIDERER and Robert SAKETTE my Executors, to dispose for my soul, etc.
Witnesses – Dom Henry ACS, chaplain, Nicholas GRAUNT, William SAKETTE, Thomas PIERS, Simon KEMP.
