Richard GOOSUN of St Peter’s in Thanet, 14 July 1480.
Buried in the churchyard.
High altar 12d. To opus of the church 3s.4d. To each Light of which I am a brother a bushel of barley. To Light of Corpus Christi a bushel of corn.
Wife Dionisie all utensilia of my camere, aule, sive coquina and one cow and residue after paying debts, etc.
Executors – Wife Dionise and Edmund GOOSUN.
Feoffees – Nicholas UNDERDOWN, junior, Richard GOTESLE, Roger GOTESLE, and Simon COLMAR.
That Edmund GOOSUN my son have three virgates of land, and to his heirs for ever.
Son Richard GOOSUN one acre of land with a small garden annexed at Austyns, and to his heirs.
Three acres of land to be sold to pay debts, etc, whereof one acre is at Church Wey, three virgates at the gate (porta) of John at Stone, five virgates of land at Vyshsten in two parts.
Wife have for life all other lands and tenements, then son Richard have my chief messuage with a croft annexed, and one garden and one orreo (barn) and to his heirs for ever.
Then son Edmund have another croft and residue divided equally between them, except two acres of land at Joysedowne to Joan and Dionise my daughters.
