William LEWYS of Brensett, 10 February 1518-19.
Buried in church of St Enswith before St Anne.
High altar 12d. Light of the Rood, Our Lady, St Enswith, St Anne, St Katherine 12d. each.
Executors deliver to the churchwardens 30 ewes, and 20 of them remain to the Rood Light as a stock for finding the same, and 10 ewes to maintenance of the holy loaf for ever.
Alice STUPPENEY two pewter platters, dishes, saucers.
Wife Parnell all my household stuff, two shetlings (young hogs), a boar, all the poultry – geese, ducks, hens, capons, two quarters of wheat, also all the hemp, two brown kine, two heifers, a mare.
To reparation of the church 40s. and to the church for my burial 6s.8d.
Executors – John HARTE, John YALDISH, each have 6s.8d, with John EDOLFFE overseer.
Residue after debts paid to Executors, to dispose for my soul, parents, etc.
Witnesses – Dom Christopher, vicar there, John EDOLFFE, Robert REVE.
