Adam PARNELL of Snave,
Tuesday before St Matthew (21 September) 1484.
Buried in churchyard.
High altar 8d. for tithes. To Light of High Cross 8d, of Brotherhood of
St Mary 8d, and so yearly for three years.
Wife Agnes have three cows, one mare, four pigs, three quarters of corn
and one quarter of barley and all my household things.
To Joane, Alice and Margarete my daughters four marcs (53s.4d.)
to each.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to Hamon PARNELL and Thomas COLYN my
Executors to dispose for my soul.
That wife Agnes have my chief tenement in which we live, with two acres
of land, 11 acres of land called Oldclose, and ten acres lately obtained
from John GRENHILL, during life of Agnes.
Son Simon have four acres of land in the parish of Snave, and to his
heirs to ever, on condition he allow Robert DOD to occupy four acres of
land which he bought of Margaret my wife in parish of Ivychurch.
That feoffees occupy my lands for six years, and the money to pay debts,
etc, and after the six years, son Simon have the lands.
